Congratulations to PhD student Becca Moriarty, who recently passed her first-year PhD qualifying exam!
PhD students Kelsey Gray and Mary Doolin traveled to Hawaii to present at the annual Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering Conference. Kelsey received a travel award from the conference and was invited to give a talk, which she titled "Biomimetic Matrices for Blood-brain Barrier-on-chip: Potential of Microelectronics." Mary received the Goldhaber Travel Award from the UMD Graduate School to present her poster titled "The Impact of Mechanical Confinement on Stem Cell Migration and Mechanobiology." Congratulations to Kelsey and Mary!
We would like to welcome Rebecca Moriarty, a first-year Bioengineering PhD student, to the lab. Rebecca will be joining the lab officially in January 2017 and will be working on research in stem cell engineering. Welcome, Rebecca!
