Adelaide Marie Stroka, born November 27, 2016, joins big sister Gabriella as a "Junior" lab member and new little Terp!
Dr. Stroka was recently notified that she has been selected to receive the Research and Scholarship Award from the UMD Graduate School for summer 2017! This award of $9,000 is intended to support faculty research and scholarship, while also enhancing graduate student mentoring. A huge thank you to the Graduate School for this award!
PhD students Kelsey Gray and Mary Doolin both received the Goldhaber Travel Grant from the UMD Graduate School. Kelsey received the award for her travel to present a talk at the American Society for Matrix Biology in St. Petersburg FL (November 15, 2016). Mary received the award to present a poster at the Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering Conference on the Big Island of Hawaii in January 2017. Congratulations to Kelsey and Mary, and a huge thank you to the UMD Graduate School for supporting them!
Today PhD student and Fischell Fellow Kelsey Gray gave a talk at the American Society for Matrix Biology in St. Petersburg, FL. The title of her talk was "Human Brain Endothelial Cells on Biomimetic Substrates: Mechanobiological Response to Tumor Cells." Kelsey also presented a poster at the meeting. Congratulations to Kelsey!
