My co-authored manuscript, "Probing Cell Traction Forces in Confined Microenvironment," has been accepted for publication and is now in press. In this paper we describe a novel microfluidic device that we designed to measure cell traction forces in narrow microchannels, by incorporating flexible micropillars on the floor of the channel walls. Congratulations to co-first authors Phrabha Raman and Colin Paul and our collaborative team for this great work!
My co-authored manuscript that was recently published in the Journal of Cell Biology has been selected for F1000Prime and was also highlighted in a JCB "In Focus" article. In this paper we discover a Rac1/myosin II crosstalk mechanism that distinctly regulates cell migration in confined vs. unconfined spaces. Congratulations to first author Wei-Chien Hung and our team of collaborators!
