Dr. Stroka's first-author paper titled "Loss of giant obscurins alters breast epithelial cell mechanosensing of matrix stiffness" has been published in Oncotarget! This work was a collaborative effort with folks at University of Maryland School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Stroka is listed as the corresponding senior author. Congrats to the team!

Last week PhD student Marina Shumakovich attended and presented at the Gordon Research Seminar and Conference on "Signal Transduction by Engineered Extracellular Matrices" at the University of New England in Biddeford, ME. Marina was invited to give a talk at the Gordon Research Seminar and then presented a poster at the Gordon Research Conference. Congratulations, Marina!
