PhD student Kelsey Gray has been selected for the Clark School of Engineering Future Faculty Program! Over the next 1.5 years, Kelsey will have the opportunity to participate in a number of seminars on topics related to obtaining and maintaining a faculty position, and she will also complete a teaching and mentoring practicum. Congrats, Kelsey!

Today Kelsey Gray was recognized for being chosen as the 2017 recipient of the Dr. Mabel S. Spencer Award for Excellence in Graduate Achievement. Kelsey was chosen earlier this year as the Mabel Spencer Award winner (see earlier news post here) and was formally recognized today by the Spencer sisters and the UMD Grad School at a special ceremony attended by members of the Spencer family, UMD community, and Kelsey's family. Congratulations again to Kelsey, and a huge THANK YOU to the Spencer family for your support!
PhD student Becca Moriarty has been selected to receive a Goldhaber Travel Award from the UMD Grad School! This will provide funds for her to travel to the 2018 Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering Conference in Key Largo, FL. Congrats, Becca, and thank you to the UMD Grad School!
