A huge congratulations to PhD student Marina on her marriage to Adam Pranda!!! Adam is a PhD student in Dr. Gottlieb Oehrlein's lab, and has also been our lab's unofficial "IT Guy." The wedding was beautiful, and we are thankful to have been a part of such a special day! Everyone in the lab should now be on the lookout for Marina's new reagent labels, from MAS to the new MAP. Congratulations, Marina and Adam!  Congratulations to PhD student Becca Moriarty who has been awarded the Graduate Student Summer Research Fellowship for Summer 2018! This award from the UMD Graduate School provides $5000 for Becca's research this summer. Congratulations, Becca!
Congratulations to PhD Student Kelsey Gray who won second place in UMD's 3 Minute Thesis Competition! The award includes $300 for research and creation of a professional video. Congrats, Kelsey!
Congratulations to PhD student, Marina Shumakovich, who has been awarded the Ann G. Wylie Dissertation Fellowship from the UMD Grad School! This $15,000 fellowship will fund her fall 2018 semester of research. Congrats, Marina!
Congratulations to our undergraduate researchers, Thea Ornstein, Greg Dawson, and Brittney Murugesan, who all received fellowships for their research! Thea has received the HHMI Fellowship for the 2018-2019 academic year, and Greg and Brittney have each been awarded a Maryland Summer Scholar Award for summer 2018. Congratulations!!!
